Spoonful of Innovation

Event Description

Get hands on Innovation in betahaus I Berlin by experiencing the space, the community and development at first hand.

For Tech Open Air Berlin we have prepared and evening of talks and a free of charge tour of betahaus the creative and innovative space from betahaus Team member.

At 6:00 pm get up to betahaus Cafe meet a lovely Team member and indulge yourself in betahaus Tour. You will see the coworking and prototyping spaces, event spaces, learn about Education, funding and projects made by betahaus. This is where the magic happens.
At 7:00 pm step back to our Cafe area, take a seat and prepare to be inspired by following talks:


unnamedKonrad Lauten is the Crowd Consultant in Germany. Working in Europe out of Berlin he helps startups, SME´s and cultural projects to get validation, feedback and not least funding from the community. He is also giving workshops, speaking at panels about the future of financing and marketing and is open for strategic support for new and disrupting services, products and projects.

Prior to his agency GET YOUR CROWD he was country manager for Indiegogo in Germany, founded the first german crowdfunding platform and was involved in the music, art and catering business in Berlin.

TREND RESEARCH by Soumyadip Rakshit & Mariel Brown


Soumyadip is a serial entrepreneur and founder of MysteryVibe. He has previously been involved in 2 successful startups, one in Biometrics which got acquired and the other in Food which was part of Google Blackbox Connect. He has also been a trusted advisor to the Public Sector and various Fortune 500 companies like Deloitte, Canon, HSBC and Santander.

At MysteryVibe, Soumyadip’s vision is to solve a major pain point – our daily struggle to switch off and turn on when it comes to sex. He has got together a collective of the top talent in hardware, software and experiences to apply the Intelligence of Things to the world of Pleasure and create an immersive experience to transform bedrooms into sensual sanctuaries.


 Mariel has over ten years of experience working in design,            technology and social trend forecasting. Since joining  Seymourpowell nine years ago she has worked on a diverse range of projects including design anthropology, product strategy, and global trend studies. Mariel won a D&AD Award for Product Design and a D&AD award for Environmental design, before gaining an MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art.
In her current role as associate director and head of trends, she helps businesses work out what to do next by translating her trend, market, and user insights into tangible future directions for numerous clients including Samsung, Panasonic, LG, Ford, Unilever, Pepsi Co, Pernod Ricard and ASICS. Mariel has contributed trend commentary to numerous publications most recently, The Metro, The Telegraph, Contagious, and Viewpoint magazine.



1f2fb62Elizabeth Press is co-founder of D3M Labs. D3M enables entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses, mid-market companies and intrapreneurs to craft their unique strategic positioning, sustainable competitive edge, effective leadership style and partnership strategy by means of decision management and data-driven decision making.

She built up and managed business intelligence, predictive analytics and customer lifetime value functions in Germany and globally for Dell. Before working at Dell, she worked in management consulting and comes with a background in both quantitative finance and buyer & seller-side due diligence. She has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University and an MSc in International Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics.

She has published papers on predictive analytics, as well as knowledge management and innovation and was an official Dell Social Subject Matter Expert on Decision Management and Organizational Transformation.
