Hardware.co: Startups of Batch 4

On July 10th we’ll kick off the 4th Hardware.co accelerator program! The selection of startups has been made, and confirmation of the participating teams are coming in! Let us introduce you to them, we’ll keep updating this blogpost as others also confirm.

INFRA

INFRA make a security vulnerability scanner for ethical hackers, the appliance continuously scans the internal network for vulnerabilities and periodically mails a report with solutions. Their USP is that their product is a high power network device that can test a whole network in an industrial setting. It offers a high level view for managers, detailed reporting for security experts and it is usable for any network setting including IoT. Their device is currently in the working prototype stage.

VEECOO

They’re developing a Car Connectivity Hub that integrates mobile equipment with vehicles in a smart and simple way. VEECOO’s USP is that it can be integrated into any car radio and it connects to OBD, Cameras, handsfree speaking devices and is also customizable for fleet management. They’re in the design stage right now.

Trustless

Trustless develop devices that help high-net worth individuals to access their communication channels and home security in a more safe way. Their USP is that they offer a verifiable open source secure chipset which can be used in: Critical infrastructure systems, connected infrastructures including IoT, Field Elements and human communications. However, they need their chipset to be verified.

U-Smart Toys

This company makes outdoor urban toys that promote healthy habits for children. Their USP is that they create interactive games for large scale areas such as malls and public plazas. U-Smart Toys have already tested their products on 1000 children in Barcelona and already have a few working prototypes.

BinE

BinE offer the world’s first intelligent waste bin, it uses auto-recognition software making it possible to separate Pfand Bottles, Glass, Plastic and Bio products. The bin also compresses waste automatically. It’s currently being used in train and bus stations and the company already have several prototypes, they’re actually 2 months away from a version that is production-ready.

NeurofoxUG

Neurofox are a cutting-edge Neurotech Company, set to revolutionize therapy worldwide. Their USP is that they offer a customizable, Artificial Intelligence enabled neurofeedback bundle which can be used for learning, relaxation or even medical use. They’re currently onto their third prototype and have done beta testing on 100 People so far.

NeuronSW

They build and train software, which understands audio. Neuron's device uses AI, correlating sound to a machine’s level of functionality. So far they’ve implemented it into cars, 3D printers, AC Units and diagnostics. Although their software is fully functional, they need more data for their product to become smarter.

FreightCloud

FreightCloud is a software service used to digitalize the intermodal flow of freight loading units in Europe. Their USP includes the sensorization of trailers and containers, telematic units and IoT for transport. The company are currently in their design stage and need more customer development.

Uniti Sweden

The company build light, short-range electric vehicles for city use. Offering a safe, futuristic user experience with unique user interaction and an immersive entertainment system. Uniti have already done some testing in short range transport and also innovation in in-car user interaction. They’re aiming to be in production in 1 year's time.

 

Phrame

They’re your AirBnB for cars. Phrame’s system can make any car into a car-sharing able vehicle. Their USP is that they offer cardless manipulation, parking intelligence and also security for unattended vehicles. The company are ready for manufacturing this year and are looking for partners in logistics.

BioWatch

BioWatch bring vein recognition into wearables so you can pay and authenticate seamlessly. Their USP is that it's a wearable biometric that only authenticates when worn. It's also Retrofittable on normal watches and NFC & BLE enabled. The company are currently working on a larger working prototype which needs further development.

SecondScreen

They create wireless in-vehicle entertainment which generates revenue whilst delighting customers. Second Screen's USP is that their mobile entertainment system only requires an android tablet for it to work, and will run any web-based entertainment in any kind of vehicle. They're currently in the development, as they need more powerful host device in planning.
