FAQs: The Handover of betahaus | Neukölln

With a very heavy heart, we are stepping away from betahaus | Neukölln at the end of August 2021.

This FAQ has been updated on 24 Aug 2021

Like many businesses that rely on people, events, and community, the pandemic has had a big impact on our operations and the Neukölln location has become unsustainable.


As part of an agreement with the property owners, we have made the painful decision to hand over our space in Neukölln to the property management company core ImmobilienManagement (cIM). After this date, the space will no longer operate as part of betahaus.

When is the handover? Why is this announcement so sudden?

The handover will take place on 31 August 2021. Negotiations with the property owners have been ongoing for some time, however, we were only able to reach a binding agreement today.


We hoped that we’d be able to make this announcement a lot sooner. Unfortunately, we were only able to share this update with our community now.


What does the handover mean for current members?

Both sides are working hand in hand to ensure a smooth transition. However, we would like to underscore that betahaus will no longer be responsible for managing the space. Should you wish to continue working at the Neukölln location, you have the opportunity to negotiate a new contract with the property management company cIM.

How does the transition impact my future at the betahaus | Neukölln location? What about cancellation?

If you are renting a separate Team Space and would like to stay in the building...

your contract with betahaus will end automatically on 31 August 2021. You have the opportunity to negotiate a new contract with cIM. They are keen on retaining groups working in Team Spaces, so please reach out to them.  


If you are a Club or Pro Member at betahaus | Neukölln and would like to stay in the building...

your contract with betahaus will end automatically on 31 August 2021. If you'd like to continue coworking in the space, some of our members started an initiative to share the Club Lounge from 1 September. If you're interested, opt-in at 👉 bit.ly/nk-waitlist


If you are a Club or Pro Member at betahaus | Neukölln and would like to transfer to betahaus | Kreuzberg...

we’d love to have you there! We are located at Rudi-Dutschke-Straße 23, 10969 and accessible by the U6 (Kochstraße) or the M29 (Charlottenstraße). Please send an email to handoverNK@betahaus.de to request this change (please use subject line: “transfer my membership to KB”).


If you are a Club or Pro Member at betahaus | Neukölln and would like to cancel your membership...

you do not need to do anything besides removing your personal belongings by the 31st of August. Your membership will automatically expire at the end of the month.

If you payed upfront for the days after 31.08.2021 we will reimburse you. To request this refund, please send an email with your IBAN to handoverNK@betahaus.de (use subject line: “IBAN for Reimbursement”)

To ensure you keep receiving mail during the transition, you'll need to update your address for both letters and packages to our Kreuzberg location:

And please make sure to include ‘"c/o betahaus."


You should also contact DHL and order a “Postnachsendeauftrag” for your own company.


What do I need to do to move out? What can I do with my furniture or monitors during the move?

ALL personal items need to be removed from the building or risk being thrown away by 31 August 2021.  If you aren’t able to remove your items by then, please contact frontdesk.nk@betahaus.de and we’ll work to find a solution for you.
