Tired of the mass produced lamps from Ikea? Want to add more light to your space? With our Cardboard Up-Light lamp workshop it will not only brighten your space but will also provide a soft and warm atmosphere.
The Up-Light Lamp is designed so it could be made out of up-cycling cardboard, meaning giving the material a longer lifetime instead of requiring extra-energy to produce new one.
In this 3 hour workshop you will learn how to transform simple flat cardboard into a three-dimensional lamp, how to use the materials characteristics to shade the light and so make your room even more cozy.
All required materials can be purchased at the Modular Shop (Moritzplatz)
- 6x 33x33cm double-corrugated cardboard (thickness between 5 and 7mm) OR 1x 100x70cm double corrugated cardboard (thickness 6mm)
- 1x universal glue (35g) – “UHU der Alleskleber”
* Concerning the cardboard, you can either up-cycle it or buy it. In case you up-cycle it, make sure the cardboard is dry, flat (without holes or bumps), has a hard surface, and that the six sheets match the same thickness.
