To those who are already familiar to 3D printing, we don’t have to explain you that 3D printing is bound to revolutionize the way we will work and live. The technology is still in its infancy, but it’s rapidly developing into a future where fixing broken household items is just a matter of printing, and Amazon no longer sends you stuff – just the 3D files.

With the opening of the New Open Design City, betahaus dives headfirst into 3D printing waters with a 360 degrees course on 3D printing and developing. Focused on printing useful objects & products,  you’ll discover the possibilities and boundaries of 3D printing, learn how to turn your own designs into real functional objects, and operate a 3D printer by yourself. Whether it’s a set of wheels for your dishwasher, a long-lost knob for your stereo or an awesome self-designed vase, we’ll teach you to bring your ideas to reality.

The hands-on 3D printing course is for anfänger/novices up to designers. No experienceis required! Just bring your laptop, a 3-button mouse and we’ll teach how it’s done.

We will have a brand new, fully-equipped, in-house 3D printing space with 2 MakerBot Replicator 2 at your disposal and a field expert who will guide you through the learning process. The course will consist of 4 evenings with classes of approx. 3 hours each. Registration up to 18 June is €180, after that the price will be the regular €210.

And to celebrate the kick-off of betahaus Open Design City’s new state-of-the art course program, we’ll throw in an extra ’1 hour free 3D Printing’-voucher. So, after the course, the first couple of 3D prints will be on us.

Still in doubt? Just watch this video about the possibilities of 3D printing. Questions? E-mail elizaveta@betahaus.de.
